Club Trips

Hello All!

This is Rich Mead (PSOC Trips Director) just back from Myrtle Beach and the annual Crescent Ski Council Spring Convention. We had a great time, pleasant temperatures, no rain and fun parties, as well as getting a lot of business done. For trips, the convention is when we start the rollout of the coming ski season's Crescent trips so here's what's on the 2017-18 calendar--

STEAMBOAT, CO, DEC 2-9, 2017.

This will be our 34th annual early season trip to Steamboat. The big attraction for this trip is it includes 5 days of lessons in the package price. Originally started as a training camp for Crescent racers, the lessons offered now are for all abilities from beginner to expert, skier, snowboarder, telemark, or whatever. Lessons are with the same instructor all week and class size is a maximum of 8 participants. In addition you get 7 nights lodging, a 6 day lift pass, and group events that include two banquet dinners, three lunches and several apres ski parties. I will send out additional information shortly to all the members in the next few days. Sports America is again our tour operator and if you've participated on this trip in the last 2 years you will also be receiving an email from Sports America with information about the trip. Registration for the trip opens June 1. The base package price is $1145/person. A special early bird price of $1090 will be offered to the first 72 people that sign up. This special sold out in less than 24 hours last year so you need to be prompt. Sports America can assist you with any special requests to tailor the week to your needs as well as assisting you with travel, including an optional round trip bus transfer from the Denver airport to Steamboat for $99.

MAMMOTH, CALIFORNIA, JAN 13-20, 2018. Our annual January trip will be to this BIG mountain. As soon as I receive additional information I will be forwarding it to you, including package details and pricing.

KILLINGTON, VERMONT, MAR 17-24, 2018. Every other year Crescent offers a Spring trip and this year we're headed to the Northeast. As information becomes available I will forward it to all members.

If these trips are not for you or don't fit your schedule, don't despair! As a member of PSOC and Crescent Ski Council you can join up with any of the ski trips offered by the 18 other Crescent member clubs. The list for 2017-18 is just getting assembled and posted to the Crescent website, www.crescentskicouncil.org, but as it is filled out you'll be able find a trip to your liking. Still not enough choice? Crescent belongs to the National Ski Council Federation (a "council of councils") and each council's club trips that are open to other council members will soon be posted to their website. Enjoy the coming warm weather but remember you can stay cool if you think SNOW!

Hello fellow Crescent Clubs!

I know that some of you are not the correct person within your club to receive this email and for that I apologize and would ask that you forward to the appropriate person. The Nashville Ski Club is offering a trip to Crans-Montana, Switzerland, Sat Feb 17 - Sun Feb 25 and we find we're a bit short of people at the moment. If you could see fit to publicize this trip in your newsletters or group emails we would appreciate it very much! The full-package is $2398 based on double occupancy and flights from Nashville. Trip details can be found on our website at http://nashvilleskiclub.org/cransmontana2018.htm. The trip leader is Sara Tamas Shamblin and she can be reached at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
